JEANNE C. DOREMUS
Jeanne C. Doremus has practiced law in Aspen for over 32 years and started her law firm in 2002, having previously practiced with other law firms in the Aspen area. Jeanne specializes in providing legal counsel to individuals and families in the areas of Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Administration, Real Estate and Business. Jeanne is known for her compassion and extensive expertise in representing and working closely with her clients.
A local graduate of Aspen High School, Jeanne obtained her B.A. degree in Economics from the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1981 and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver College of Law in 1991.
Jeanne is a strong member of the valley-wide community and has actively participated in many local non-profit organizations. Jeanne is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Trusts and Estates Section, the Pitkin County Bar Association and Aspen Valley Land Trust where she continues to be passionate and volunteers her time on conservation projects that benefit our valley.
Jeanne served as the founding member of Alpine Legal Services and served as President of the Pitkin County Bar Association. Jeanne also served on the Aspen School District General Election Committee and co-chair of Aspen High School Bond Election Committee. Jeanne was elected as a member of the Aspen Public Education Fund School District Association, had extensive involvement in local student educational programs, including President of Aspen Child Care and Wildwood School and served as President of the Aspen Youth Center in a major transformation of the organization. Jeanne volunteered for an international non-profit organization “Room to Read” as she is passionate about helping girls worldwide to create an opportunity to have access to education.
Jeanne lives in Aspen with her husband, Andrew. She enjoys skiing, hiking, biking, traveling and yoga.
